Artificial Intelligence (AI) language models, when used skilfully, can serve as a powerful catalyst to enhance teaching and learning at your school. They can assist in generating high-quality, engaging, and creative unit and lesson plans in a matter of moments. 

However, effective lesson and unit plans require thoughtful review and customisation to ensure the highest quality and that it aligns with your school goals and student needs. 

To support teachers in harnessing the potential of AI, we invite you to enrol in a 90-minute workshop designed to introduce innovative uses of AI in lesson planning and unit design across all subjects and age groups. This workshop will provide practical strategies for utilising AI effectively, ensuring high-quality educational outcomes.  

Workshop Highlights:

• Unit Planning:
  • Backward mapping to allocate time effectively and sequence content.
  • Identifying critical checkpoints for monitoring student progress.
  • Incorporating adequate scaffolding to support diverse learning needs.
• Lesson Planning:
  • Customising learning intentions and success criteria.
  • Developing effective starting activities and integrating cognitive verbs.
  • Adding meaningful scaffolding to enhance student understanding.

The workshop will be presented by Gerard Alford from ITC Publications, who brings 20 years of classroom experience and 20 years of expertise in developing teaching strategies, including the creation of daily content diaries and digital lesson tools.
